Why Should You Consider Purchasing Burial Insurance?
Having burial insurance for all family members can be a thoughtful and practical step to ease financial and emotional stress during a difficult time. Here’s why it’s important and how it can help:
1. Reduces Financial Burden
Funeral and burial costs can be significant, often ranging from several thousand to tens of thousands of dollars. Burial insurance provides funds to cover these expenses, so families aren’t scrambling to pay out-of-pocket or taking on debt when a loved one passes.
2. Allows for Better Planning
With burial insurance in place, families can plan funeral services that honor their loved ones without worrying as much about affordability. It provides a financial cushion that allows you to focus on the personal and emotional aspects of the arrangements.
3. Helps Avoid Strained Family Finances
If one family member doesn’t have burial insurance, others may have to pool their resources to cover the costs, which can cause strain or tension, especially during an already emotional time. Burial insurance ensures that everyone has their arrangements covered, reducing stress for the entire family.
4. Offers Peace of Mind
Knowing that expenses are taken care of in advance brings peace of mind to both the insured individual and their family. It’s one less thing to worry about when dealing with the grief of losing a loved one.
5. Protects Savings and Other Assets
Without burial insurance, families might have to dip into savings, retirement funds, or other financial assets to cover funeral costs. Insurance safeguards these funds for other important needs.
6. Supports Emotional Well-Being
Planning a funeral can be overwhelming. Burial insurance simplifies the financial part of the process, letting families focus on supporting one another emotionally during their time of loss.
A Helpful Safety Net
While it’s difficult to think about losing a loved one, having burial insurance ensures that the financial side of saying goodbye is managed with care. It’s a way of showing love and consideration for your family, ensuring they’re not left with a financial burden during a challenging time.

PaYMENT OPTIONS
When planning for funeral and/or crematory services, it’s important to understand the payment options available so you can choose what works best for you and your family. Amos & Sons Funeral Homes offers the following options when planning your loved one’s services.
CASH/MONEY ORDER
If you have the money saved up, paying in cash is often the simplest option. You can pay the funeral home or service provider directly using cash, a personal check, or a money order. Paying in full upfront can sometimes qualify you for a discount.
Some items must be paid for in cash up front. The funeral home will be able to discuss these items with you.
CREDIT CARDS
Amos and Sons Funeral Homes accept credit cards as a form of payment. This is a convenient option if you need to pay quickly or don’t have cash on hand. Keep in mind:
You might need to check your credit card limit to ensure you can cover the full cost.
Interest rates may apply if you don’t pay off the balance right away, so it's best to use this option if you can repay quickly.
Amos & Sons Funeral Homes are able to accept the following credit cards:
American Express
Discover
MasterCard
Visa
CREDIT PAYMENT SERVICES
Some funeral homes offer third party installment plans, allowing you to pay for services over time. These typically require direct approval from the third party granting the credit installment program.
Once you agree upon the services you want, you will seek approval FROM the third-party creditor for the total amount of funding you need, and the terms that are in line with your budget.
Upon approval, the third party installment plan will provide payment in full to the funeral home.
You will make payments directly to the credit granting organization according to the terms and conditions you agree upon.
These plans might include interest or fees, so it’s important to ask the third-party lender about the total cost after all payments are made.
