Anthony LaWayne Merriweather was born April 30, 1967 the son of the late Annie Juanita Merriweather and Johnny Gomillion(Linda). He departed this earthly life bound for his Heavenly home on April 3, 2023.
He was educated in the Edgefield County School System, and Schools of Washington, DC. When he became of age, Anthony decided to search and find his way in life by moving to Washington, DC. He split living in Washington, D.C. and South Carolina for many years.
Anthony loved people. He loved to greet people with the greeting of Hey Shorty.
HE loved music. He once was a set-up man for various go -go bands in the city. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a competitior. His family say he loved basketball but he might not have a great shot, (LoL).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Juanita Merriweather, his grandmother, Hattie Gomillion, James Merriweather, Albert Merriweather, Willie Merriweather, John “Flip” Merriweather and Stacy Roach.
He leaves to love honor and cherish his precious memory: a daughter, Jada Houston, Aiken, SC, a granddaughter, Jeremiah Houston; his parents, Johnny Gomillion(Linda), Augusta, GA; siblings, Bawana Merriweather, Maryland, M J Watkins (Carlos), North Carolina, Tyna Merriweather, Aiken, SC, Jermaine Merriweather, North Carolina, Steven Gomillion, California, Anthony McGhee, Augusta, GA, Yolanda Brown (George) Maryland, Specialty Fletcher, District of Columbia, Jerrmy Merriweather, North Carolina, Johnny Gomillion, Jr, Augusta, GA and Anthony Broadwater, North Augusta, SC; uncles and aunts, William Merriweather, Jr. (Patsy), Saluda, SC, James Merriweather (Helen), Johnston, SC, Wilbur Lorick(Grace), Johnston, Sc Taylor Merriweather, Johnston, SC Sadie Martin, and Patricia Price both of District of Columbia, Delores Marshall, Doretta Bryant (Greg), Walter Andrews, (Vivian) and Vanessa Merriweather all of Johnston, SC and Justee Merriweather North Augusta, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, , other relatives and friends.
