Ms. Betty Mae Williams

October 2, 1961 - August 20, 2019

Ms. Betty Ann Williams, daughter of the late Corine Hill Williams and late David Raiford was born October 2, 1961. She peacefully departed this earthly life bound for Glory on August 20, 2019 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, SC.

 Betty Mae, as she was known, was educated in the schools of Edgefield County, SC. During her joyous times on earth, she enjoyed life and her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Raiford and Corine Hill Williams, aunts Toe Hill, Betty Hill Green and a special aunt that raised her as her own, Mary Miles.

Betty Mae leaves to love and cherish her passing, a special friend, James Weaver of the home, a sister, Shirley Massaline, Florida, brothers, Roy Williams, Aiken, SC, Ben Raiford, Aiken, SC and Edward Raiford, Columbia, SC; a niece, Tasha Bush, Grovetown, GA, a aunt Johnnie Mae Hill, Johnston, SC, Mary Ann Miles, MS and a uncle Albert (Valarie) Hill and a host of other relatives and friends

Mr. James M. (June) Dobbs, Sr.

Mr. James M. Dobbs, Sr, son of the late Bennie Lee Dobbs and Edith Cherry Dobbs, was born February 19, 1939. He entered into eternal rest at home surrounded by his loving wife and family on July 6, 2019.

 James was educated in the Edgefield County schools and he joined the Lotts Grove Baptist at an early age.

 He had many interest but a few of his many interest were fishing and hunting. He worked and provided for his family  at the Graniteville Company (Townsend Division) for many years. After 33 years of service he decided to retire to spend time with family and pursue some of his interest.

James met and later married the love of his life on December 27, 1957. This union blessed them with seven children. He later attended  Pleasant Grove Baptist Church until health issue prevented his regular attendance.

 James was preceded in death by his parents, four grandchildren, two brothers, Bennie Lee Dobbs, Jr. and recently Willie B. Dobbs, two sisters, Nancy Dobbs Oliphant and Edith Dobbs, a brother-in-law Leroy Oliphant and a sister-in-law Sophie Mae Oliphant.

 James leaves to love and cherish his memories, a loving wife of the home, Bessie O. Dobbs, three daughters, Edith (Leonard) Dinkins, Johnston, SC , Bessie (Bennie) Dandy, Trenton, SC and Sophia Dobbs, Johnston, SC; four sons, James (Cassandra) Dobbs, Barnwell, SC, Jerry (Linda) Dobbs Trenton, SC, Wallace (Beatrice) Dobbs, Trenton, SC and Terry Dobbs, Aiken, Sc; four sisters, Susie (Johnny) Herrin, Aiken, SC, Betty Jean (James)Felder, Johnston, SC, Grace Nicholson, Trenton, SC and Tawanda Axen, Aiken, SC; a brother, Walter (Betty) Dobbs, Johnston, SC four sisters-in-law, Mary Marshall, Florida, Veronica Oliphant, Florida, Sarah Walker, Orlando FL and Annette W. Dobbs, Pelion, SC; two aunts, Nancy D. Miles, Johnston, SC and Ruth D. Freeman, Virginia; a uncle, John Dobbs, Jr. New York, twenty-five grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends.
