Atlanta, GA - Funeral Services for Mr. George Satterwhite will be held 11:00am Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Joshua Generation House of Faith with the Apostle Augustus Washington Jr. as Pastor. Interment will follow in the Walk of Faith Tabernacle, Johnston, SC. Viewing will be 11:00am - 5:00pm Friday December 13, 2024, at Amos & Sons Funeral Home, Johnston, SC.
George was born December 8, 1966, in Edgefield, South Carolina, to Ernest Satterwhite Sr. and Bessie Mae Loman Satterwhite. He departed this life and entered into rest on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Emory University.
George was educated in the Edgefield County Public Schools. He drove school buses during his high school years. George graduated from Strom Thurmond High School in 1985.
George later moved to Columbia, SC where he lived until 2008, then he moved to Atlanta, GA until his death.
George loved to dance, cook, travel, listen to music, take walks at the park, spend time with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. He loved life and enjoyed “every second” of life as he would always say. He loved to have a goodtime and make people laugh. No matter where George went, he never met a stranger. He was the life of any party. He would brighten anybody’s day.
You never seen George with his head down. If he was going through anything, you couldn’t tell. George had a heart of gold. He would truly give you the shirt off of his back. He loved to help people in any way that he could. George was loved dearly and he will be truly missed, his love, presence, and spirit. George was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Bessie Mae Satterwhite Sister: Angela Satterwhite Grandparents: Eddie Pete Loman and Alice Loman Uncles: Daniel Loman, Fred Loman, Clyde Sonny Loman, Aunties: Jessie Mae Mathis and Allie Hammond.
