Michael Lowman, was called from this earthly life on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Bessie Mae James Lowman and John Hammond. He was born on July 1, 1962, in Edgefield County, South Carolina.

Funeral Services for Mike was held Saturday, July 20, 2024 11:00 am at the Amos & Sons Funeral Home Chapel 412 Railroad Avenue Johnston, SC 29832 with the Bishop Michael Staley Officiating and the

Elder Mamie Moton Eulogist. Interment followed in the Republican Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mike or “Big Mike “ as he was affectionately known, was educated in the schools of Edgefield County. He was a hard working man and spent many years working in the Agriculture Field and Farming /Flowers. He was truly loved and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae James Lowman, father, John Hammond, two brothers, Alvin Lowman, Willie Lowman, and a very devoted friend, Marilyn Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Roberta Lowman, North Augusta, SC, Sarah Lowman, Trenton, SC, Geraldine Rolland, North Augusta, SC, two brothers, James Lowman and Adam Lowman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
