Funeral Services for Mr. Willie Jones, Jr. “Bubba” will be held 2:00pm THursday , December 15, 2022 at the Simmon Ridge Baptist Church . THe Reverend Winston G. Oliphant will officiate and the Reverend Lonnie Jones as the Eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Willie Jones, Jr., was born on July 8, 1960, the son of the late Dora Bell Howard Jones and Willie J. Jones, Sr. He departed this earthly life bound for his heavenly home on December 9, 2022, at his home in Johnston, SC.

Willie was a 1978 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School. After graduation, he then enlisted in the United States Army where he served until he was medically discharged. He was baptized at the Simmon Ridge Baptist Church at an early age.

Willie was employed at Ground Force Landscaping, LLC until his health declined recently. He made a big impact on the people he encountered. He loved his family very much and brought joy to all he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet D. Jones. Willie will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Those left to love honor and cherish his memories include:a son, Jeffery Jones, Johnston, SC; three daughters, Stephanie Dobbs(Jeffery Mathis), Keisha Jones and Tekeya Williams, all of Johnston, SC; five grandsons, Deon Mathis, Deshaun Miles, K’Mari Jones, Jayden Jones, and Justin Jones; two granddaughters, Nydiah Mathis and MiHailey Miles; two greatgrandsons, Collin Mathis and Cayden Mathis; a brother, Lonnie Jones(Amelia); a sister, Evelyn Davis (Theodore); an aunt, Christine Jones, a special niece, Latoya Jones and a host of family and friends.
